On-Site Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician

$40 - $50 per hour, depending on experience McLean, VA | On-Site | Full-Time Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM OR 9:30 AM-6:00 PM

For over 25 years, RJH Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service has built a strong reputation throughout the DC area. We're seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician for a long-term, on-site position at one of our valued client locations, offering consistent hours, a stable work environment, and strong team support.

What You'll Do

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and food service equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
• Work with equipment including:
  • Walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Reach-in refrigerators
  • Ice machines
  • Commercial ovens, grills, and stoves
  • Mixers and small appliances
  • Dish machines and hood systems
  • Food warming and cooling equipment
• Perform minor plumbing and other food-service equipment repairs
• Safely handle, recover, and dispose of refrigerants in accordance with applicable regulations
• Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and service needs clearly to customer
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Lead and mentor an apprentice technician as required

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of commercial food service and refrigeration experience
• EPA certification
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Experience with walk-in/reach-in refrigeration, ice machines, and commercial cooking equipment preferred
• Journeyman License preferred
• CFESA certification is a plus; training available for qualified candidates
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide and use personal hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
